This is PERRRRFECT for someone who knows what they are doing and can fix it when it busts.

Case in point: how much have you paid hybrid?

the car is rock solid as it sits, and if you drive it like a little old lady and get on it every now and then, it probably wont explode or anything

but if you pound the living piss out of it on a regular basis then, like any other car, its gonna assplode.

the car is a fucking steal though. You just need to get moving selling it though. To my knowlege its only on a few boards, that simply isnt enough. I guarantee if you spammed like 50 forums, or tossed it on ebay, that thing would be gone in like a week.

It was the same thing with my blue maxima. I posted it on ubrf, and a few other local sites, and got shit. I was asking like $9k, and the highest offer I got was $4k :bloated: I realized I needed to do something else, so I canvassed every forum in sight and it sold very quickly. You need to do the same…

Im still amazed youve been sitting on it for so long, that thing is sooooooooo clean and soooooooo fast. And built right.

my issue was that id be draining the ol’ bank acct to buy it, and being about to start grad school, thats not a position I want to be in. Ive managed to go thus far w.o any debt, and id like to keep it that way. I love the fact that I can walk into work tommorow and quit, and it doesnt fucking matter if I dont work for a few months. Thats a fucking good feeling… Thats my primary reason for passing on it. If I can hold out on spending any money for the next 3 years, I know it will pay off when I finally graduate…

3 more years. thats it. and i will buy my porsche turbo. Thats all I want out of life. $70k. I think ill be able to do it…

In the grand scheme of things, Steve’s car isn’t that heavily modded at all. The setup is pretty mild, and already has the extra insurance of a semi-built engine and built transmission.

Ok just updating the ad because there are so many pages of nothing…

Bought this car last october, didnt drive it in winter, and as far as I know, it never has been. You wont find rust anywhere on it. Its a fast fun car. Reason im selling is because im moving in with my GF and can no longer
afford a nice car with a payment and insurance.

I dont have HP numbers or Track Times of my own. The person who owned it b4 me ran a 12.5 in the 1/4mi with this car, thats the best I have. This car is somewhere in the neighborhood of 320-350awhp or so i was told and is tuned for 23psi.

The list below is of all the mods that were put on by the previous owner, with the help of www.HybridConnection.com , a reputable performance shop here in buffalo.(as you all already know)

The Specs:

Rebuilt 6 bolt 4g63 bored .020 over - fully machined and balanced(approx 7k on motor)
wiseco 9:1 forged pistons
1g rods
clevite 77 bearings

cometic headgasket
comp street/strip grind cams (equivalent to hks264s)
ferria valves
resurfaced 6 bolt flywheel with Exedy Stage 2 Clutch

Turbo and Fuel:
Big16g turbo
Greddy big fmic and piping
apexi avcr digital boost controller
RC 550cc injectors
walbro 190lph fuel pump
apexi safc a/f controller
1g bov

Exhaust:
apexi n1 3" downpipe
apexi n1 3" exhaust
ported 2g exhaust manifold
ported 2g o2 housing

Suspension and Rollers:
tein flex suspension
dunlop sp sport fm109s all the way around
stock 17x7 2g wheels

Stereo:
pioneer 7400mp cd/mp3 player
pioneer 4 way 5 3/4" door speakers
pioneer 6x9s
2 15’s AudioBahn with a boss amp and capacitor.

2 main things that I bought for the car are a new Transmission and a new clutch.

The Transmission in this car was built from T.R.E. and the link to the specs is here: http://teamrip.com/awd.html scroll to the bottom to the remanufactured AWD transmission. It was babied for about 600mi, and moderatly pushed for 400mi. Its never been launched or abused. I dont drive it hard. If any of you saw my first ad, I had a problem with 3rd gear, that has been fixed, it just need to be broken in.

The clutch that I purchased was an Exedy Stage 2 clutch which was just broken in and is holding the power very well.

Some other Miscillaneous parts and jobs that I have bought or had done are a new Radiator, steering rack & alignment, and slave cylinder

Here are some pics of the car after it was detailed from Diamond Detailing. Granted the pics are about a year old and were taken while the previous owner had it, the car still looks just as beautiful; a lot of people cant believe its a 97.

The blue book value for this car is just above 6k with 100000 miles which has gone crazy down since the time i purchased it. Since i was un aware of that my asking price has gone considerably down from 11.5k. dont have another car to drive…

put GSX in storage and internet race it for a while, get a beater, and pay like rediculous cheap liability on it while you get on your feet with the loan on the car (if you even have one). then you can look for a better paying job and when you get it just put the GSX back on the road as an infrequent driver and keep the beater for “DD”. FTW
