My buddy has a super hicas 240sx with the sr-20det swap he might be interested in selling… i think the year is around a 92 or 93 it comes with the stock dohc ka. With the orignal engine is the stock 5 speed tranny and a brand new stage 2 clutch with it and the stocker runds great. The sr-20det is pretty much stock runs great manual boost controler new stage 3 clutch which was like 400 in parts alone. Somewhere around 120K on the body. Posi sunroof power everything. The only issues with the car is that it needs back brakes, and there is no power steering and thats all I am aware of. This is a picture of what it looks like i’ll try to get some more picts of the actual car up. What do you guys think a good price for it would be ? I gave him the idea of about 5K but shoot me some ideas.
i was totally guessin price wise the car is clear there is a little daul spot on the right rear fender and the frame rails where rusty but he had new steal welded in. so whats he looknig at maybe 4K ? the only reason he wants to sell it would be to get my buddy’s 97’ 328is that he has forsale
yeah…like Originalsin said , its gotta be uber clean and virtually very little rust for go for anywhere near 5K…i know it was a guess but…im thinkin MAYBE 3200-3700…depending on how much the swap cost and who did it…an SR swap isn’t just an SR swap…if it was done right then itd be worth more…anyone can throw a motor in a car and make it run
exactly, if it was done professionally by a shop it will probably be worth more money, even tho there are definatly individuals out there that are just as good or better than some shops, people just feel more secure when a shop did the work.
are there any mods at all tho? exhuast? intake? fmic? any kind of tuning? seats? thats all stuff youll want to list.
the rust on the frame rails can be a killer too, i know you said he had it fixed, but depending on how well the repair was done it will come back.
being sn SE with vlsd is nice tho, super hicas is kinda lame IMO but i guess if it were to be used for autox it would be a nice advantage.
ask him how much hes looking to get for the ka and tranny seperatly and pm me the price

Here she is… manual boost controler, full 3 inch exhaust, new stage 3 clutch, power everything, sunroof good car…he is only looking to see what its worth really right now unless someone has a newer car they would trade for…paulo this is my buddy jeff’s car …we did the swap around two years ago everything is done right the power steering is on the car but not hooked up due to wanting to free up more power…small video …also he would trade plus cash for never car 5 speeds are a better bet…sorry about my spelling i didn’t know i was in a speeling bea you got the point right ?
its just a feeler of what you think its worth i think my buddy would like to get around 4500 for the car though, he is looking to get something newer so if u wanted to trade his car plus some cash or make some deal he’d be up to it…if anyone wants his number lemme know and i’ll pm you
