The car is very clean with minor scratches and small dint here and there but nothing major. It has tinted window, cd player, 4 new tires and new brakes. They car drives very smooth and clean. KBB is 5500. Looking to get 5000 OBO.
no way. i don’t think that thing would still be going on the original timing belt.
EDIT: i wish i needed another VW. that’s a good price for that car.

you’d be suprised… a kid i work with went to look at a 1.8t passat with 140k on it and i wrote down all the shit to ask the guy. the timing belt had been replaced once, at 65k. not good.
glws, any idea at what mileage the belt was replaced at?
yeah she has all the paper work and detail on when it was done etc. so who ever come and take a look at it, she’ll show them all the documents.

posting when and where it was done would probably help. i realize it’s not your car, but with the right info, you should have a quick sale. if everything is up to spec, that seems like a decent deal.

my golf has 120 K on its timing belt right now(and 183K on the car)… it still looks good. hahaha. car isn’t worth the hassle of a new belt. I have one in the trunk for when it breaks and i need to toss a new one in on the side of the road hahaha. anyways point is VW timing belts are bulletproof.

if that entire post was serious, you are on crack. does your golf have a 1.8T in it?
if the timing belt breaks on an interference motor, you are fucked. VW timing belts are fahrfrumbulletproof.
No he drives a 2.slo… there bolt proof, and a NON-interfence motor…
yes the 1.8t are VARY sensitive with Timing belts… but not all VW motors are the VR6 with the chains can run forever, the 2.slo’s Ive driven one with 170k on the Factory Belt.
Back on topic that is a clean car and a good deal.

that’s what i figured it was. 2.0 timing belt != 1.8T timing belt.
