Well, I honestly have no clue. I will let you know when I sell it. I am going to sell it to the highest bidder pretty much. I have a guy coming over tommorow to check everything out. He offerd me $3,000 for it. I will most likely give it till the weekend then take highest bid.

Is the vinyl business still lucrative? I thought that went out in the late 90’s.

I don’t know all that much about it, so I’m just speaking from what I see… I think if you advertised well enough, you could do very well. People are ALWAYS starting some work-from-home business, or other business they want to promote on the side of their car. You could probably JUST do magnetic door signs and make a decent income. Just don’t think locally—if you did this online, you’d have a steady stream of business, in my opinion.

I agree. Vinyl will never go out. As long as there are bussines’s there will always be vinyl. Look at all these semi trailers, window lettering on most places, and peoples cars. How many people on here have NYSpeed decals? Those are all vinyl.

As for the make of the machine, it is a no name machine. It is a knock off Roland. It takes Roland blades and pinch rollers. I have not had any problems with it at all. It is an excellent machine for the money.

hmmm…

if your splitting anything up , pm me a price on just the cutter

Yeah my father has been in the sign business for 40 years, i know for a fact vinyl is popular, but the thing is, all these people who start theyre own business usually have no art talent at all, anyone can make a sign in signlab, or coral and cut it.

i feel the “die cut” vinyl isnt as popular or lucrative as digital vinyl.

well, it’s not “die cut”, for one.

i know its not die cut, thats why i wrote it in quotes. its done on a plotter just like the one i use here at work. im ot saying that you cannot make good money using it just hat digital seems to e the in thing. just look at all the cop cars and work trucks that VSP does. in any case GLWS

by digital do u mean, a sheet of vinyl thats printed?, if u get a decent plotter they can do both, and both have theyre places in the business.

yeah printed like on full wraps and multicolor decals.

yeah, they are nice, but the plotters are very expensive, i think my dads was over 20k. but like i said they both have places in the sign business.

yes, the plotters that print also are very expensive. the cheapest one i have seen was around $15k i believe. Unfortunetly i dont have that much.

well there is now 1048938284 gabillion sign shops in the buffalo area now, and id say 3/4 of them are n00bs who think they can make a quick buck by printing some decals and slapping them on a vehicle. I actually find it quite humorous that folks will actually pay these people for shit on a magnet.

THE GUY THAT OFFERD ME 3 GRAND HAS BLOWN ME OFF TWICE NOW. I AM STARTING OVER NOW. BID RIGHT NOW IS AT $0. IM ALSO WILLING TO TRADE VOR VEHICLES. I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING TO WORK ON OVER THE WINTER
