So…as some of you know, I called off the wedding and broke up with my fiance. Finally got the ring back, so time to get rid of it.

Here is the information about it (taken directly from the independent appraisal, etc.):

Ring is comprised of the following:

Main Stone: One prong set princess cut diamond, measuring 4.63 x 4.44 x 3.36mm exact weight 0.60ct. Based on EGL International Diamond Certificate. Dated June 01, 2011. Graded Mounted

  • Clarity: VS-2
  • Color: I
  • Cut: Good

Side Stones: Two prong set princess cut diamonds, measuring 3.67 x 3.64 x 2.73mm (depth est.), 5.00% GTCF. Stated total weight of 2 stones = 0.67ct. Graded mounted.

  • Clarity: VS-2 to SI-1
  • Color: H
  • Cut: Good

Small Stones: Eight bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.85 - 1.35 x 0.96mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 8 stones = 0.12ct. Graded Mounted.

  • Clarity: SI-1
  • Color: I
  • Cut: Good

Total weight of diamonds: 1.39ct
Total weight of Bridal Style, Engagement Style Ring: 4.10gm
Ring size: 7.5

Certificate: Yes, from E.G.L (European Gemological Laboratory)
Price: She only had it 2 months…I’m going to start the price at $3,000 which is considerably less than the cost of retail on my appraisal. But, I am negotiable as, obviously, I have no use for this.

I will be taking it around to various shops, etc. to see what I can get for it but figured someone on Shift just may be interested in it.

True story. I’m not too bummed about it.

And I made the sizes bold now so they should be easier to find.

EDIT: Just realized you meant the actual size :lol. It’s 7.5.

Youre gonna have to take a huge loss on this. Seems like nobody ever gets close to what they paid for a ring back when getting rid of it.

My brother spent about $5k on his ex-wife’s ring and current value is $1500.
