FS/Feeler: 2002 Subaru Impreza.

I got 22-27 in mine. AWD saps it from what you’d expect from a normal small-mid-size sedan.

EPA says 18 city, 25 highway, 21 combined.

I can make it to Albany and just have the light come on to fill up. I’ve gotten over 25 MPG before on the highway, and, in the city, I’ve gotten a little better than the estimates.

I knew AWD was bad but WOW. that is my cobra’s fuel economy. I get over 25mpg on the highway. That’s an STi’s fuel economy. Corvette’s do better than that. Sorry, that’s just amazing to me.

Because corvettes cruise on zee highway at like… 900rpms lol

The 911 does better than that, too. I’ve been able to make it to Albany on a half-tank. But, like was said above, on cruise at 75, the RPMs are MUCH lower. The 911 is around 900 at 75, as well as having a 6th-gear. My car at 75 will be at almost 3,000. It also only has a 14.5 gallon tank.

OK, seriously, yes autocross is throwing your car around like a madman. But honestly, if the car is well maintained to handle the extra “abuse” (as everyone sees it) I would rather buy it than some regular car that’s taken care of buy “regular” folk. I know on my auto-x cars all my ball joints, sway bars, wheel bearings, shocks, brakes have been more mechanically sound than half the fucking cars on the road daily. Hell in my hatch, everything is new, seriously like everything.
