the car is extremely light, ~2500 lbs according to previous owner.
The body of the car does have some small dents and dings from racing but no major damage. The tires currently on the car (and pictured) will not last much longer, I wouldn’t trust them for more than a HPDE or two. The fire suppression system may need to be recharged as the car was stored with the bottle in place over the cold NY winter.
If it could catch a ride out to my garage in rochester I would consider parting it. I am asking high teens and I don’t think I’d be able to get that from it especially since the work to the chassis is where the money is: windows, cage, etc.
the 3.2s came out of the obd2 cars right? So the motor is obd2 and the chassis is obd1?
the “ltw bumper” was the description from the previous owner. I was hoping you could advise on if that means its from the M3 lightweight or if he meant something else. I have no idea.
thanks for the advice. I’ll look up the rest and add it in.
I dont think it’s anything. The bumpers were the same. You can tell by looking at the back if it’s an OEM bumper or a knockoff. I’d assume this car isnt on its original bumper. Some of the knockoffs are slightly lighter? I’d just remove the line completely.
The car is still OBD1, so the conventional term in BMW land is 3.2L S52 OBD1. The motor is OBD2, but it was just plugged into the OBD1 computer and wiring already in the car.
