If this can safely be used to mount a harness I’ll take one.

Unfortunatly my friend you drive a fastback…

They’re not designed to mount a harness bar AFAIK.

I wouldn’t use one for that purpose, anyway.

I honestly figured it’d be the same distance from c pillar to c pillar?

maybe it’s the mounts that are different?

Look where your rear seat belts mount…

They are different.

so which bar do i need to mount the harness?

to mount a harness, the best way, for saftey, is a rollcage. however, there are companies who manufacture bars that mount in 2-3 places per side of the car to properly mount a harness.
most are custom, but select companies to make them for specific cars.

but i say, no rollcage, dont bother.

FYI I hear installing a 4or5point without a rollbar is unsafe … if you roll the roof will cave and your neck will be held against it.

That’s what David Wheeler always told us anyway …

Carbon fiber c-pillar bar? I’ve only seen the gun metal one, listed on MeganRacing’s site.

Also I never looked at any carbon fiber from MR, what’s it like? Is this thing a carbon fiber tube, or CF molded around metal bar, or a CF sticker around a metal bar?

Also don’t suppose it’ll be in by this Friday?

As for mounting a harness to the bar. If the bar & brackets are beefy enough and has high grade hardware, it should be sturdy enough to mount harness to it. Not the most ideal location but for amateur motorsports it should be good enough. Of course minus the roll cage bit you shouldn’t wear the a 4pt, unless ur willing to accept the consequences.

Pccw, why not buy a harness that uses eyebolts?
