Car is a shell now, the head, intake manifold, pcm were sold. Now that Ldiablo backed out, its up for sale again, but without those parts. That is why I cut the price in half! I am including the transmission, the 2.0 block, and everything else that was included before, as well as a bunch of spare parts
CAR RUNS, drove it to the gas station to get gas. Car has a clean title, no accidents, no salvage, no liens.
The car is back together, full interior, runs, drives, needs some love still, but a great project car. Car could use brakes (new pads included), and front tires before its good to drive around.
Ask any questions. Its not perfect, but its running, and a great project car to finish up and make perfect. Little rust, clutch feels perfect, etc…
Just listed it up there. If you are interested, let me know. I just want money for wheels and slicks, and this will cover that. Car needs work, but it runs now, is inspected, etc…
Fucking steal. Jeebus man! I sold mine for $2000 with more miles on it. Granted it was a souther car with a built motor, but still, your car is worth way more than $1200. Post it on neons.org, you’ll get $2000 easy.
Yeah, its not an ACR, but its a sport coupe, so it has the rear disk brakes, front and rear sway bar, and the 3.94 trans (since its a DOHC). Its definitely not a “nice” car, it needs stuff to finish it, but its a 180 from the night when I got it, and someone else can finish it. I just want to focus my time on the SRT.
I drove it to the gas station, and I’m so used to driving my black car, when I was looking outside at the NYG, I just smiled. Its so green, you never see these around, lol.
Would you sell it for less and keep the motor and perhaps other parts, I’d like to grab it if I can get the money, damn good price especially with mods but I’m sure by the time I’d have the money it will be sold but perhaps if you can sell it for a bit less without some shit you could sell individual, I’d love to get this car.
I’m doing a 2.4 build, thats why I don’t need the engine or engine parts.
I never really drove the car, I bought it pretty much destroyed, put it back together the right way, and now I’m trying to sell it so I can finish my SRT. It has the same motor and trans in my black car, and I get 34 - 38 mpg on the highway in that.
As for what it needs, it depends. To drive it, pads and tires. To make it nice, it could use any number of things, the sky is the limit. NYG paint always peels (ask justin and read his project thread ). Other than that, the engine bay is pretty much done. There is a rattle that goes away clutch in, so I think its the TOB. Doesn’t affect it at all, you only hear it at idle, clutch out. Motor runs great, clutch feels awesome (better than my black car), trans shifts smooth as butter, interior is nice, gauge cluster works great (all 1st gen neon clusters seem to act up, this one doesn’t). I could go on for ever. Motor doesn’t leak any fluids, radiator is new, and all the aftermarket parts I have in it are tasteful and fix the bottlenecks in the stock neon system.
If someone wants to put a little bit of time into it to finish it, it could be great. Its rare, and neon’s make great daily drivers. The nitro-yellow green color certainly turns heads
PM me with whatever youd’ want. We could discuss the pcm, intake manifold/tb, vitor air dam, etc… Let me know what you want, but the car is set up decent, so most people will probably want it. Let me know what you got, and what you want to offer, etc…
I’ve seen the car. It’s not a perfect car by any means, but has a reasonably low production number, and within the Neon community, everybody wants the color. Can be alot of fun, when fixed up and finished!
I would definitely buy it, to clean up and make into my daily driver, but at this time, I am trying to sell some stuff, to pay some bills. It’s just not in my best interest right now.
