can this car be legally driven in canada?
absolutely… lots of these on the road here
How did you bypass the 15 year rule?
i thought they had to be 15 years old?
I like where this is going.
I think he meant RHD cars. (Jammin)
I don’t think that customs will let a car that is not 15 years old LAND in Canada. Unless this is a ‘1991 silvia’ :D…
I beleive the 15 year old rule only applies to cars that were not originally manufactured in canda…?
thats my only guess to why this could be legal
Doubt it…otherwise we would have a lot of other JDM cars here instead…
strange i was at engine land the other day and he told me 14,000
gay
I was there to look at the car today.
He told me that the car is sold as parts and I could do the papar work myself if I wanted to registar it.
This car is illegal for road use in Canada.
In that case, none of us would be driving 240’s as they are manufactured in Japan.

I meant sold in canada not manufactured…my bad hwk owns me this weekend
either way i was still wrong
Yeah it “appears” to be a VERY clean car however my worry is the leagalities of owning and trying to register a vehicle that under the law can’t actually be titled and on the road.
Ok sure theres always ways around things but it usually leads to more hassles then it’s worth.
If it’s JUST a track car, ok there’s no real issue b/c it’s trailered everywhere but I’d like to talk to this guy a little and see what the 411 is on it, or talk to someone who’s talked to this guy.
what kind of km are on this thing lol?
There are loopholes that will allow you to bring in such a car. I’ve seen RHD cars that were newer than 15 years old registered and driven on the street ex. Integra Type R, R33 Skyline etc.
And if you get caught exploting those loopholes ----->CRUSHED
Or even worse get into and accident and insurance doesn’t cover you.
If it were easy and low-risk trust me there would be R33s and R34s galore. I myself would sell my R32 for an R33 tomorrow if this was legit.
If you knew the guys that had illegal cars on the road they would tell you it really isn’t worth it.
R32>R33
Why doesnt engine land respond?
one of the loopholes i know of is yuo can bring in a car newer the 15 years old if you have resided in japan (or whereveer, outsaide of canada) for more then one year.
then your entitled to bring over your daily driver from said country regareless of age.
score!! if thats the case, i have a buddy living in japan right now…he’s been there for a year and a half. Does this mean he can technically bring in a R34 or a S15 legally and drive it?
