and hte reason u can bring them over because they had that model in canada- integra type r , if they made a 240 in japan u could bring those over too, they dont go by chassis code they go by vehicle name , just like the 300zxtt u can bring new ones (well up to 95 anyways) there are actually 3 jdm integra type r’s in the area, 1 civic type r

nope not true, nowhere does it say its legal to import a vehicle if there is a vehicle of the same name in another country, you cant even import 91+ 240’s from the U.S without considrale hassle, and the only major differences are the auto seatbelts (and vlsd), so no, just cause it says civic doesnt mean you can bring a type r over
