okay boys and girls… this is a FEELER thread, i am testing the market
possibly looking to swap clutches
this is a SPEC 5 Clutch
Solid Iron Disc
Rated at 1200tq
described as “on/off” engagement, but really is quite easy to drive
unsprung
basically can take whatever beating you put towards it
little different feel, but easy to manage, even if in stop/go traffic
it has ~4000miles on it. still grabs 100% as hard as the day i put it in. last time i had it out (~1700miles ago) it had just as much meat on it as when it was new.
reason im looking to swap is because im looking to make my car a smoother, friendlier, quiet car to drive. i want a smoother engagement. not to scare you, grandma could operate this clutch, it can be driven like any other clutch once you get the feel for it. the one downside is it squeeks if you ease into it from a stop at low RPMS. if you give it some RPMS and let it drop into engagement you are squeek free. it really depends on the day to be honest.
pricing on these are $540 + shipping
if i were to sell, i’d be looking for ~$250
(note: don’t have to sell, just organizing cash flow)
well finalgts could use it, and modify it to his super spectacular custom one off amazing specs, so then dodge could copy his design, then it could go sit in the corner with the rest of his soon to be the end all be all amazing car parts that is beyond nyspeeds comprehension, in a pile in the corner of the room with the rest of his car. thats what im hoping for!

it has about 4000miles… dont know the exact to be honest… its still in the car. i was just kicking around the idea of going down to the 4+ if the timing/money is right.
its a solid clutch, different feel but easy to operate…but im trying to make the car a smoother ride like stock. you’d have to drive it to understand what im talking about

LOL, wow, I see you still have your panties in a bunch over a long-dead thread. Nice attempt at being funny, but if you actually laid eyes on some of the things I have made or designed, you would be keeping your mouth shut. Hell, even JNJ has eased off of my case, maybe you should follow suit. And to re-answer your question from that thread, yes, DESIGNED. Not let another company do it. Read: Sent them CAD files on what to make and/or change, not say “here is $$$ make them stronger”. Figured I would toss that in there, as you still seem to be confused.
Unless you plan on mucking up your own thread even more, I advise you to let this die. I have no qualms about doing it, but I wont post again unless you ask for it.
PS- Not much is sitting in a corner at the moment, most of it is sitting on a chassis instead.
PPS- Come up with the coin, and you can have one of my super duper custom amazing spectacular smooth engauging long life 1600tq one-off custom (did I say that already?) multiplate clutches that will blow your mind… and your wallet.
