Has anyone ever fixed this problem? I took my fsu out, when I put it back in my fuel level read way down(not working). I took it out then moved it around and it changed fuel level so I put it back in the car, didint work so I took it back out and I cant get it to work anymore. does anyone know how to fix it? without buying a new one, I just think it must be something simple because its not like I dropped it or damaged it in any way.
its possible that your floater has a hole in it, making it not buoyant. id hate to say this but take her out again and inspect the floater if anything. Gone through enough FSUs so i know how much of a pain it is to deal with.
Edit in hindsight, i think it could be a loose wire as well, check the wiring.
If you need a replacement FSU, i got a spare still attached to a tank with good wires that i needed for my old hatch that im willing to part with.
for me what happened is it actually went bellow past the scale, and got stuckā¦ When u pull it out it will move fine and flop around all good but you have to pull it up beyond the bottom of the scale so it gets stuck within the scale region.
This is my simple problem and it happened when i replaced the fuel pump. If thats not it then i say wiring as stated above.
