cold weather?
i only get 120pertank in city driving and 200-400highway cold weather really bring that down alot becuase your cars need to burn more fuel to mantian a constant heat i think
That doesn’t sound right, I’d google it and provide some proof before backing up that opinion.
omfg ^ i think thats impossible , sumthing must be wrong with your car
are you saying you get 120 kms for 60$ of gas
I get around 550km-600km a tank on my SR on 91 octane, unless your constantly reving over 6000rpm when your stopped and when your going theres no way your getting 120km a tank you must be running rich.
yea i have a sr running at like 12psi and i get like 400+ easily a full tank, like 20 litres take me about 150-200km and i have atmo’d bov so car runs rich nshit.
Hows your tire pressure? fuel filter? oil grade? oil quality? fuel grade? etc…
i run my car and get 275 city or around 500highway
wow why does everyone except thomas get such shitty gas mileage? haha
my sohc is literally about to explode and its a huge pile of garbage and i get 450km per tank with about 33% city 66% highway.
i do over 500km per tank if i drive all highway
my old dohc ka got 600km per tank driving 33% city 66% highway, 650+ with all highway.
mike (spd-dmn)'s KA has been known to get him over 800km tank all highway with an extremely diciplined right foot and over 700km on a regular basis.
A properly running KA should get 400-450 MIN city driving, and about 500-550 highway from my experiance.
If you are getting bad milage make sure you motor is tuned up. (Take it to a shop if your not sure what that means)
Check your tire presure
Don’t rev out to 5k before you shift
Check your O2 sensor
Make sure your cat isn’t old and plugged.
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
once spring comes ill let you know how my car is
ive had mine do 640 km to a half tank all highway cruise on. they do tend to get a lil use in the winter but if your getting 120 you must have a gas leak bro.
$50 of 91 octane gets me 400-500 km of driving. This is a mix of city, highway and everything.
640 to 1/2 a tank… so 1280 to a full tank?
You have one of those rare early S13 hybrid cars? Or does yours just run on happy thoughts and good will?
A tank of 91 octane gets me around the 300km mark with mostly city driving, I know its running rich, just cant determine why. It has newer plugs, wires, O2 sensor, 3" cat, shift at 3k almost all the time, Ect sensor seems to be functioning fine. Those are all thing id check/replace OP. If anyone has any other ideas im all ears.
What weight oil does eveyone run?
HMM anyone know the fuel milage of a RB25det? Ive never looked into it really lol…
dude i get 600k highway easy on my sohc and its running like assssss
I have a new cat (1 month old), new O2 sensor (1 month old) and a brand new air filter. I just replaced the plugs with NGK Platinums and installed premium Bosch wires as well. I’m getting about 300km with 70% city and 30% highway. I believe the car is running rich because after I beat on it a bit, it starts to smell like rotten eggs, possibly indicating that the unburned fuel is going to the catalytic convertor.
I am pretty frustrated and don’t know what to do next. I bought a PCV valve, distributor cap & rotor, thermostat, fuel filter and water temperature sender…gonna get them installed by a mechanic very soon. What else could cause this fuel efficiency problem? I’ll try giving the MAF and Throttle body a cleaning too once I get the chance.
btw I’m running 5w30 on a stock KA24DE with an auto tranny and I use 91 octane most of the time from Sunoco…also I use winter injector cleaner with every fill up, bought from Crappy Tire.
