I’ve never done one of these in a pressurized system before. My Haynes manual says I have to take off my gas cap and take my fucking dashboard apart to flip a switch behind the stereo. The guys at McCandless Auto Parts said I should forget the switch and hold a rag over the fuel. Thoughts?
un pop gas cap… n just take it of let the fuel drip n clean it up install filter. then b4 u start your car again prime the fuel pump by turning the key just b4 u crank it. then off then turn the key almost till u start it again then turn n drive away. then check for leaks
btw u should hear the fuel pump go vrrrr. then u know its ready to go ! good luck

thanks. now i have something to do tomorrow.
the best part is that mike actually kinda sounds like he knows what he is talking about. and there should(but doesnt have to be) a bleeder screw on your fuel rail. i know that my lt-1 has a bleeder screw that you push down adn it releases presure.
either way WATCH you eyes. it will squirt out and get in your eyes. and dont worry about that switch.
since when do u push a screw!!!only in sex do u push to screw!!!:tounge:
