fuel lines

Alright guys since the weather is not that bad this weekend I decided to get the car running. The problem with it was that the fuel pump needed to be replaced as the connecting wires were toast.

I picked up a new unit and its ready to go all the bolts were taken out (6) and now I am left trying to figure out how to get the fuel lines off the existing unit. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to do any damage to the existing lines as they look like they were replaced in the last five years.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

take the clamp off and pull hard they should come off note you will have to be a little rough

A trick, first off, grip the hose with a pair of pliers… and put a small smear of grease just above the hose, as close under the edge as you can get it, and wiggle the hose further on the tube. wiggle around, and that should work the lube under it and let you pull it right off.

Otherwise, just be a man. Twist and pull.
