FYI: no more contract extensions for changing price plans with VZW

This Thread is funny, Verizon was the ONLY company that DID require agreements on rate plan and feature changes. I have worked for AT&T (Cingular) for 2 years, and T-Mobile for 2 years before that. Neither of which ever required agreements for features or rate plan changes.

AT&T Service especially where you are should be fantastic, theres about 4 towers per square block in NYC

Should and is are two different words.

404 bad service not found
but hey, i bet all of those billion little gay things that verizon nickel and dimes their customers on really help to keep their service in tip top shape as well. I don’t even have them personally, nor will i ever, and they still managed to screw me out of $100 through the mail-in rebates with evolve’s store.

PSSSSS… guess what AT&T is doing now, especially to the business side of things.

450 minutes business share pooled with international unlimited data on VZW = 450 minutes business share pooled with international unlimited data on AT&T

And AT&T’s global contracts suck ass, vs. Vodaphone roaming global roaming contracts. T.mo definately still has the best roaming contracts though, can’t fuck with DT.

So, phone for phone, in philly, NYC, boston, all over NY state (buffalo, all along the 90, 81, 17, glens falls, albany, syracuse, westchester, putnam, rockland, long island), DC (where admittedly sprint seems to be better than all other carriers), Baltimore, texas (dallas, corp cristie, san antonio, houston) and i can go on and on - 8700c vs 8703e - hands down, have both phones, vzw consistantly had better coverage. Not only that, you can’t have a clear conversation with 2 bars or less on edge, especially in a moving vehicle. Just take NYC, metro NYC (manhattan) to be exact. The coverage is just not as good.

But bottom line - if the phone works for you where you mostly are, then go for it. I’m just telling you, for someone who travels, you can’t beat VZW, I’m not exactly biased, I’m just telling you from my own experiences with the SAME MODEL PHONE, at the exact same place at the exact same time. I’m also telling you from a blackberry admin perspective with all different carriers. Not to mention AT&T’s EDGE network has been on the fritz ever since the iPhone was released… (these are postings from AT&T themselves)

good i need to up from 2000

Very cool!

Question though. Im on my parents business plan, if I wanted to upgrade my phone to something different, is it possible to trade in my phone that is in perfect condition for something else + the difference without bothering their plan?

no, unless you trade someone straight up + cash. the thing is, the stores sell the phones at a loss, and the carrier makes up the difference + some. the only time the carrier does that is if you qualify for the discounts, typically almost the whole way through a 2 year contract.
