Galant VR-4

It pains me to do this, but I have been unemployed since April and the time has come to give up on my once exciting project.

The car has the things going for it:
2.3L Motor (not build by me)
Tracked down previous owner and was told it has wiseco pistons, eagle rods, balance shafts eliminated, light porting on the head, and ARP head studs
I put in:
ETS intercooler ($850)
ETS 2G Intake ($190)
2G MAF & wiring conversion
Evo 8 Injectors
Eprom ECU w/chip burnt for stroker & big 16G
Mildly ported 2G Exhaust manifold w/OEM studs
All Engine compartment wiring gone through and repaired where necessary
Battery leads & tie downs
0Z Lancer factory mitsu wheels (not installed and w/o tires)

To be finished it needs:
Exhaust
Brakes gone over (it stops now)
E-brake Cable
Boost Controller
Tires (current are dry-rotted)

And the following should be known:
Relatively Rust free…Cheeks Can vouch
Surface rust on the inside lower corner of 2 doors
Surface rust on various frame surfaces (its an old car)
It has a small 16G…needs a big 16G (current turbo is functional)
It has a 2nd gear grind, comes with 2 spare transmissions & transfer cases
Seam in drivers seat needs re-sewn
Front bumper is scuffed

Car has been Garage kept by at least the past two owners, title is in hand

I would like to get $2500 out of it, but cash talks.
Willing to trade for 4x4 or FWD vehicle (must be inspected)

This picture is from when i bought it, outside condition has not changed, alot of other things have. I will have updated pictures ASAP.

How many miles are on the body? Is it drivable as it sits? Does it need inspected?

I will check on miles

As noted in the add, it needs and exhaust, tires, boost controller, and ebrake cable before it could be inspected.

OK thanks. Also, is it still 4-lug and what size are the lancer wheels?

I may be interested.

I have a clean 1995 LS swaped coupe.

call/text me or pm me your number.

Very tempting. Hmm.

Does it run well minus the 2nd gear grind? I’d like to check it out. Also, I might be interested in the OZ wheels as a separate purchase if I wasn’t to get the car.

Yes its 4-lug

Yes it runs well for a 4g-63 with no exhaust
New wires, Iridium NGK Plugs, solid idle, starts on 1st crank, has classic 1G Lifter noise but oil pressure and compression are solid

The 2nd gear grind is not terrible, and the car comes with two spare transmissions and transfer-cases

Forgot to check the miles…will have that and more pictures tomorrow!

Lancer 0Z wheels are the ones found on the 2002 Lancer Ralliart, they are 15s

car is sold
