ah jeez now i need to go buy a gapping tool, thanks h.240
if they are ngk they are supposed to be already pregapped so you shouldnt have to and if your putting any other name brand of plug which i wouldnt personaly wouldnt recommend you may not be happy with gas mileage
i only put ngk in my car, this time was idiridium ix series although the model i think is for a rb20, but either way i bought the gapping tool a wopping 3.24 at c-tire.
ok so my attempt of gapping the plugs was unsuccessful, the gapper that i bought is made out of cheap materials so when i was gapping the tip broke off because it got stuck in the gapper, This makes me angry
What tool do you use? I just got a gauge (see pic below) and then put the proper file between the gap and then put the sparkpug in a vice and tightened. Works fine :dunno:
The gauge:
i used the circle gapping tool, but its fine now i bought a new set of plugs and everything. the car hasnt pulled this hard since i bought it!
they may be pregapped from the factory, but it doesn’t gaurantee them not being damaged/bent during shipping. Sometimes they don’t have the cardboard sleeves to protect it.
so yeh, you always need to double check the gap. Don’t forget to anti-sieze the threads too. you wouldn’t want the plugs to get siezed in the block. this usually happens to high mileage cars though that never get a tune-up.
indeed i did this already, although im a nazi when it comes to my cars maitenance, so no problems here
jeez, that womans voice, on the video just pisses me off.
