and, it got me too.

it says:

A liter of gas costs 1.55 euro, or $9.40 a gallon

They’re mixing units of both Currency and Volume

lolo yeah, $36 per gallon is a but ridiculous

i remeber reading somewhere gas is $14 a gallon in england

:picard:

$1.55 / liter
3.785 liters / gallon
$1.55 x 3.785 = $5.8667 / gallon

$5.87 / GALLON IN EUROPE

$5.87EURO = $9.25US (according to yahoo’s currency converter)

Adding large text to make Nikuk look like an idiot

:bigblap:

Knew I forgot a step.

wow holy shit. i really hope gas never reaches that much here lol.

me neither. there really is no reason for it to, we have refineries while most of europe doesnt

it will.
Because the consumers are stupid and they stand for the raises in price.

Excuse me while I walk to work and come up with an alternative fuel.

Gas has been much more expensive in Europe for some time now… I travel there once a year for work and always convert to see what their prices are. They find it funny that we are so upset about our gas prices, which is still cheaper than what they were paying years ago. We can actually learn quite a bit from Europe and how they have dealt with high gas prices.

And since oil is based on the USD, if/when the economy picks up improving the value of the dollar its only going to get worse for them.

glad my company pays for my gas and gave me a car to drive to work

According to my friend in Scarborough, it was 1.17 a liter this morning.

it seems many forget, that fuel there is heavily taxed to fund social programs (i.e., healthcare) which we do not have here in the US

In england one of my contacts told me it was about $9 for gas, and their sales tax AKA VAT is at 17.5%

hahah, that was great.

I thought OPEC stopped using the USD? Or maybe it was just Iran. tries to remember

Yah its currently 1.32 / litre here in Canada. I dont care really anyways as Smokin Joe’s is only about a 15 min drive from my parent’s place in Niagara
