and there is never any snow on those paved roads? :rolleyes:Plus the extra room in them comes in handy with a family. My next vehicle will probably be a SUV and you know what I have to say to whiney liberals like you?
if you need a 4x4 to drive in the little pissant snow we get, you’re a bad driver…unless you’re delivering Chinese off-road…
It’s irresponsible to own an SUV unless you off-road or tow with it. Period. Those two reasons aside, they don’t do anything a wagon or minivan doesn’t do better.

if you have any kind of compassion, and care about other people besides yourself, then you are automatically a whiney liberal. also, if you oppose the war or GWB in any way, you are a whiney liberal.
SUV’s have more room,so when u live in them,it’s more comfortable!!!

Maybe when you grow up and have kids you’ll understand. I’ve never had a 4wd and have always been able to drive in snow. It never hurts to have the 4wd if you need it. Plus my wife would mostly drive it with the kids and we all know about women drivers in snow. :eek3:

That wasn’t directed toward you Mike. I know where you stand after our talk at QSL. We aren’t that far off idealogically. We mainly differ on moral issues like gay marriage etc.

get her a Subaru Legacy Outback.
AWD, 25+ mpg, and a low center of gravity so it’s safer.
not to mention, when she rear-ends my CRX, I won’t be as terribly maimed.

Trailblazer > Outback in a collision. Maybe I am being ultra protective, but I guess fathers are like that with their kids.

i’ve never driven it, actually.
It has two engines, neither of which I have any intention of putting in. I’m looking for an 88-89 Integra to cannibalize to put the CRX together. I need its engine, tranny, wiring harness, ECU, front and rear brakes, and other random parts…
So when this thing IS together, I’d kindly appreciate it if I don’t get rear-ended by an absent-minded SUV driver.
a few years ago, I got hit head on by a Jeep Cherokee. I was in my mom’s Civic and a woman on her cell phone crossed the yellow lines and fucked my shit up on Thompson Run Rd in North Hills. When I woke up, she was parked on my hood. On the bright side, I drove the Civic home (spitting coolant) and her Cherokee was FUCKED.

So daddy dearest, who would protect your little girls if you got a disabling injury and couldn’t work and your wife lost her job and couldn’t find a new one.
You would have no healthcare and no income to buy food. Would you like it that there is government help available or would you take your own advice and let your girls starve to death.
I’m not saying that the above scenario is at all likely but you are only kidding your ultra-protective self if you think it is impossible.
I also don’t see how it is anyones business if someone chooses to drive an suv. If you don’t want people telling you how to live your life don’t tell others how to live theirs.
yawn
1.if you can’t pay for gas, don’t buy a gas hog
2.who gives a fuck about suvs
3.who gives a fuck about michael blanyer

If I get hurt, I’ll be thankful that I pay into long term disability and have a very supportive family. As for my wife, she is a RN with 3+ years as a director of nursing under her belt. I’m sure she would have no problem finding another job.

Just wondering Roland, how do you feel about a nationwide healthcare plan. Every US Citizen is covered.
