Is it possible to change the gasket on the SR where the exhaust manifold meets the turbo without removing the turbo and the exhaust manifold (i have meagan racing tubular manifold and stock t25). I can get at 3 of the nuts but the 4th toward the front of the car and closest side to the engine is soooo hidden away.
Man i would just take it off and do the job right… Put on all four new studs, four new nuts the two locking plates and the head to manifold gasket and manifold to turbo gasket. All these parts can be picked up at mills nissan… Call Leo. I know there there because i just finished doing my ca… The parts might have to be ordered i think my total was 130 or something around there…
I actually did all of this two weeks ago and replaced all gaskets which is why i wanted to find out if i had to do it all again. The tabs to keep the nuts from loosening didnt work and turbo came loose/ cheap meagan racing gasket blew apart.
Awww did you buy new locking plates? Yeah man… That last bolt is a whore… I think you might just have to take it off man… And as for the gasket that will happen to the best of gaskets they all blow a part if the nuts come loose… You should have seen what happend to my stock one… There was nothing left.
i have the same setup as you, just pull it all off, takes me about 20 mins to take it off replace stuff and put it back on… very easy if you have the right tools.
Another Turbo mani Gasket thread… :butthead:
I’m in the same situation :alright:
Ok im gonna suck it up and do it all again. Thanks.
