So because of my chemical structuring, I like cars, video games, guns, and such? Interesting.
Using your logic right now, Vlad, we’re designed to do/like everything from the get-go.
You fail to acknowledge influence in our lives.
Example: You like cars. It can go back to you seeing a cool car on TV doing some stunt or crazy scene. So you develop your initial interest and choose to look into cars as it interests you. You meet new friends. Oh wow, they saw that same scene and they like cars too! So you and your friends like cars, thus increasing your interest in them. You influence each other, find more info about cars and such. So for example, you wake up tomorrow and decide to not like cars. You hang out with those friends, but they didn’t choose to not like cars that morning. So the friends start talking, and the inevitable comes up: cars. Because you don’t like cars, you may not provide too much input, but then something a friend says sticks out, and then you contribute. Though you chose not to like cars that morning, the choice you made several years ago along with influences along the way keep your interest in cars. It all goes back to a choice.
Not once did I EVER say that your chemical balance/imbalance does not have an effect on things you do. You want to think I said that, thus you fail to acknowledge my valid points.
I have seen results of tests in my Psych class where men were given female hormones and vice versa. Guess what though? The dudes didn’t start fucking each other after the test trial took place.
