Abortion Limits
This measure would amend the state constitution to require physicians to notify the parents or legal guardian of a pregnant minor at least 48 hours before performing an abortion involving that minor. The measure does not require that parent or guardian’s actual consent in order to perform the abortion. Exceptions are provided in the cases of medical emergencies. Also, an adult family may be notified instead if the minor fears abuse from the parent or guardian. Parents may also waive the notification requirement

In my eyes I feel they should be able to adopt because they would provide the child a much better life, than say the 15 year old that couldn’t abort the child in NT because she didn’t have the money.

You have two committed people that truly want a child as opposed to the millions of straight people out there that didn’t/don’t want the kids they have. You think they are less qualified to raise a child? Do you think they are going to catch the gay? Yes, it would be horrible to have two people who truly want a child, to raise one that doesn’t have a family. The world doesn’t need any more open minded people, lets all raise biggots!

agreed, but I can sort of see where their coming from (from the kids standpoint at least). Kids are very cruel and a lot of damage is done (mentally) in adolescence. I don’t think it would be very easy growing up with 2 dads/moms… no matter how accepting some of the population might be.
With that said, I don’t think their sexuality should determine if their fit to be a parent or not.

I feel that any to people should be allowed to marry. For legal reasons, I think that same sex couples should not be allowed to be in a “partnership” and share benefits that married couples only can.
Same sex couples raising a kid IMO would put the kid in a strange life style, esp since a 6 year old adopted child has no say or knowledge of what is “standard”. Think back when you were 12 and a kid dressed or smelled different and the harassing the child took. In todays world, same sex couples are not accepted. Watch any child TV show. You dont see Dora the Explorer being a child of Steve and Joe. Now with this act trying to legalize it in certain areas and ban it in others is just a mess.
I am not saying that same sex couples are unfit to raise kids. Society today makes it unfit for same sex couples to raise kids. The world needs to change and accept gay marriage before it is healthy for a child to be raised by same sex couples. Let the marriage part be legal first and become accepted nationally and slowly shift into the adoption.

I feel that the ridicule or confusion is much better than that crack whore parent. Hell my step brother has 2 children, he OD’d on heroin and cannot see his children.
The kids live with their mother and grandmother who live in lackawanna. Cute kids, but I know they are going to have one terrible life growing up in their situation. Hell, on halloween the one kid didn’t have gloves (1 year old child) her hands started to get cold, so we brought the child back. Thankfully it was only a block back to the house.
This is the lifestyle I don’t want kids to have, and I feel that most gay couple would provide a much better life than this. At least the gay people that I have met.

Gay marriage is a good thing. Think about it this way… Population control. They can’t have kids with each other, and if they adopt, they are giving children who would probably be raised like shit, and giving them a real opportunity.
Should black people not be able to adopt white babies? How about prohibiting inter-racial couples? What about jews marrying catholics?
Luckily, unlike you, most children are far more open-minded than their parents. I know several same-sex couples with children, as young as still in the womb to as old as mid teens. All of the children old enough to have their own opinions, wouldn’t have their family structured any other way.
That would be like saying “we really shouldn’t integrate the schools, no good can come of that”.
There are plenty of countries where same-sex adoption is legal… I don’t seem them condemming it. Just bible thumpers and biggots that have a personal problem with homosexuals in general.
Why aren’t you as concerned about the pedophile fathers that molest their daughters? How about the abusive spouses? Great environments to grow up in. You’re right, better not let them grow up in a gay house because straight people have it down pat!
