i will be going and checking to make sure everything came ok, then brining it through customs.

Best of lucky buddy… I hope it goes smoothly 'cause I want in on the next buy.
ps – I hope the big guy with the rubber glove is gentle
ss autocrap
i like it a little rough, plus my gf will be with me…oooooohhh sexy…
pm me with what you are interested in, there may not be another public group buy. instead i will be trying to stock some items for the purposes of filling latent demand here on SON and abroad.
UPDATE:
i called customs today and was advised that importing items for personal use, which these are, means that they are subject to full sales tax.
ie. 15%
i explained the entire scenerio and inquired about the 7% duty that i had heard about but it is only for people who are reselling the items and have a PST number.
for me to do it that way would not be cost or time efficient, i do have a pst number that i can use but it would be more than a little suspicious seeing as how it is for my grandparents restaurant…lol
EVERYTHING HAS ARRIVED
i have it all here with me in niagara…did a quick count in buffalo and everything was shipped properly.
i am doing up the math to figure out what everyone owes for shipping.
if you want i can post it up or you can get me by pm or msn to discuss.
SWEET!!!
Lets organise a small meet to pic up the shtuff.
Maybe this weekend?
There is the east end meet on saturday?
BIng whats ur msn.
VERY IMPORTANT POST FOR ALL GROUP BUY PARTICIPANTS
READ THIS!!! READ THIS!!! READ THIS!!!
my msn is in my profile…
also…
i need everyone to please undertstand that i had to pay 15% sales tax (GST / PST) that is why the final $$$ amounts are a bit more than i had hoped for.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS PLEASE CALL CUSTOMS AND ASK THEM HOW THIS IS DONE. I CALLED THIS AFTERNOON AND THEY TOLD ME THAT ALL PERSOANL ITEMS ARE SUBJECT TO A 15% TAX.
IN ORDER TO AVOID THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE FOR RESALE WITH A VALID PST NUMBER AND THEN I WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE YOU THE PST ANYWAYS BECAUSE I WOULD STILL HAVE TO PAY IT EVENTUALLY
–
i will have the URL for excel document and send it only to those that purchased…this info will not be made public nor will it last after everyone is paid up
shipping in USD was slightly under $280 and i rounded it to $280 USD at a 1.25 exchange that is $350 for 6 big boxes of auto parts…lol
that is split 19 ways though…
the taxes were paid on the declared value of the parts
i was able to get an invoice for 60% of the actual value, so the taxes are calculated by taking the total amount you purchased in USD and multiplying it by 0.60. then take that number and multiply it by 1.22, which was the exchange rate at the border today.
this number will be your total taxable value.
then multiply that by 0.15 to get your taxes payable.
EG.
jesse - short shifter
$60 USD
$60 x .06 = $36 USD x 1.22 = $43.92 CDN taxable value
$43.92 x 0.15 = $6.58 CDN tax.
to calculate your shipping.
total value of the shipment was $2,975
take the total value of your purchases and take it as a percentage of total shipment. then apply that percentage to the shipping fee of $350 CDN.
EG.
Jesse - Short Shifter = $60
$60 / $2,975 = .02016 or 2.016%
$350 x 2.016% = $7.058 or $7.06
therefore jesse’s total amount payable is:
$7.06 + $6.58 = $13.64
so for that shifter the final price was $60 x 1.25 = $75 CDN + $13.64 CDN
$88.64 for the shifter…
that is cheaper than any other short shifter out there i am pretty sure…
the rest of the stuff should be an equal bargain.
the link is ready for those that want to see what they owe and how the math was calculated.
you must contact me to get this link… other wise i will assume that you calculated it yourself.
