Hey guys,
I am having trouble removing the gear shift from my car. I tried everything and it is so tight to move. I want to put in a new momo shifter on. Did anyone else have this problem. If so, what did u do.
You mean the shift knob? They are on pretty tight.
In the words of Jantos: “Just give 'er”
And then once you are done with that, you can go ahead and introduce
yourself in the New Members Section.
:wavey:
yup, just twist it off counter-clockwise… wrap a cloth around it and use a vise-grip if you have to.
I did turn it counter clock wise, and I also used a cloth to cover it up, and used a vice-grip to remove. It is stuck on tight. I am going to try wd-40 as a last resort, and if that doesnt help…I guess thats it…I am stuck with the factory knob.
Keep trying it will eventualyl come off. Or find someone who is stronger
then you perhaps? :dunno:
Sit in the passanger seat, wrap it in a towl if u want to keep it, brace ur feet and grab her with a pair of vice grips and as said before
“Just give 'er” it takes alot, but once it starts to go it gets really easy.
i used 2 hands and mine came off
I used one
I just looked at it and it got afraid of my manly hands aproaching it and spun itself off…
If Sasha can do it… :noes:
well, just do what I did, get Andre the Giant to remove it…
