Genesis Coupe 2.0T motor teardown

always being one day late on SON this is probably a repost…

Hey look, its an sr20, but its not an sr20!

It’s like… a Hyundai, yet not a Hyundai.

Amazing.

i took this car for a spin today , the 3.8 gt with the brembos and the 6 speed tranmission , it was allrite , nice car but asking to much money i think ,

what is the sticker on these things anyhow?

24500 - 38000

More than you can afford pal…

Ferrari.

that could never pass for an sr20det

it’s open deck. sr20s are closed deck.

bleh.

So it’s still huuuundayyyy

It’s the Mitsu world motor. Same as the Evo X.

For starters, the block is evidently sourced from the Mitsubishi Ralliart, which is different from the more structurally sound EVO X block.

^ .

Sorry, the world motor is slightly different than the Evo X motor. My bad, still the Mitsu world motor.

Well whatever, still will be a cool car, but I like my 240 haha

Touche. Block resembles a Honda.

Oh look. Its a a Chrysler motor as well.

honestly i liked the last generation of the tiburon it was kinda nice looking just fwd and pooey underneath…

Looks like a Briggs & Straton Vanguard 2.4, if you ask me.

Hyundai steals there ideas thats why!!!
