I still have to install rack spacers and the quick steer adapters and align it, but that’s where I’m at for lock right now, not bad, but more still to come.

Also dropped it onto the scales to see where it was at. This is with diff fluid and a half tank of gas, but without any fluids in the front half of the car, no driver, no cage, no cooling system, with shitty heavy wheels, without front bash bar/bumper and a few other things. So it really has no relevance unless you know approx what that shit weighs. If this ends up under 2900lbs with me in it I’ll be really happy, under 3000lbs is acceptable though.

How much angle is that exactly?

Absolute fantastic build  headers look great!

I honestly dont know right now.

As usual lots of delays, plus I’ve been fighting off a wicked cold the past couple weeks. Finally getting back to this.

The 2002 and the M3 came home today. The 2002 was out getting paint work, had the front bumper removed and the holes welded, doors replaced, and took care of a few dents and dings. The m3 had the crash bars finished, as well as the headers.

Finally put a set of the supercups on, fitment turned out AWESOME. Currently running 18x10 fronts, 18x10.5 rears, 255/275 tires.

And the motor stripped down and ready to come out of the car one last time. Have a few things left to seal up, and install (clutch, oil pan gasket) and then it goes back in.

Out of curiosity, where did you pick up that 2002? It’s not a tii is it?

It’s not a Tii, it came from EA. One of Matt’s friends.

Took the time to wash the engine bay while I had the motor out. *Still need to do some heatshielding in the foot well areas, but I can take care of that later.

Motor back in, starting to install components. *I realized in a moment of stupidity that I have LS3 Camaro accessories, and a Corvette Damper. *Probably going with the LSA accessory drive stuff as I prefer the locations of stuff on that. *

Front bars painted, radiator installed, working on plumbing everything this week.

I also started daily driving my 2002. *Still have a bunch of stuff to do on it, but snapped this photo the other night of it.

Currently sitting at about 50° of angle. Need to modify knuckles or make steering adapters to get more. Not hitting the frame rails yet with 18x10s. Probably will leave it like this till something breaks or I outgrow the setup.

Catch can mounted. Putting the harness back in. New accessories will be here next week. Once that arrives getting power steering lines made. Finishing up the oil system tomorrow and the catch can lines/fuel lines early next week. I’m also going to move the stock pedals and braking system over to the spare car and put a Tilton pedal box in this one with triple masters and a balance bar.

Coming along!

Oh man I remember him talking about that years ago, good to see it moving!

Looks amazing Mike. Love your work, and only just now saw you had the build thread here.

car looks great, just saw it sitting outside of innovative.

headers are great, where did you get the materials for them?

That’s Ian’s car at Innovative. Mine hasn’t been there yet. Though Mike is doing the tuning on it when it’s done. The materials are from Vibrant.

ZAPPED
