I would really like to know how both parties got ticketed. That reeks of BS/the cops trying to protect the cager from being sued. I’m guessing a car turned right onto the road he was on, so he swerved left to avoid and lost it. Hence the unsafe passing for trying to swerve left around the car.

As for the other part of the article posted

Haynes “put his bike down” in an attempt to avoid a collision.
