you paint the dot matrix and the tint the back window… its the easist and best looking way ive found to have windows tinted… second of all i have 5% on my back windows and 20% on the front… those that have seen my car say it looks nice… i prefer the darker image when looking at tinted windws. mix matching the tints give you the dark but functional appearance i look for. i think im gonna stick with my 5 and 20 set up

if you have a PRO do it , then it can be done
i had a guy do my dots just fine; cost a lil extra but has been 2 years now and no bubbles
he said he used a bonder and something else to help it stick
i got all my windows tinted at Zorros in uniontown. $135, did rear window on the monte carlo in one piece of tint and tinted the dots.
thats cool
i got my cutlass done in va for 115 back window one peace but the painted the microdots
you can tinit over the micro dots, it just takes forever cause you got to press the tint and heat it till its dry, but it can be done. painting it is for the closet ricer , not matter what car its on, its the thought that makes you a ricer.
:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
5% you can’t see when backing up… i had 5% on my cutlass. On my SS i have the opera windows at 5% and the rest @ 20% and its nice as hell. I say the darker the interior the the darker the tint is gonna seem. I’ve seen 35% on an 96 impala SS and it looked like ther was no tint at all cause of the light gray junk interior.

if you treat it right you might just be able to get it to stick. i did a few
rides that i got it to stick and a few others that didnt want to.
if you go lighter on back and dark on dummy windows and a little
lighter on front it will cast a nice overall look into car.
ex. front=35%,sides 20% rear 35%
i have on the truck 20% up front and 20% on back with the factory
tint which is =to 20%. now that is hard to see out of on street
with no lights at night.
what i’ve heard people do over the micro dots is just use black vinyl and they start the tint there.
pewter is getting the rainbow sparkly tint
as far as legal tint. if its not factory its illegal,
trucks can have tinted rear windows, passenger windows, and dummie windows but as front
windows nothing is legal.
cars some wont get pulled over if the rear windows are tinted, but you have to be able to
see the driver from behind the car.and you have to be able to see a DRL thru the tint. some
cops will nail you some dont mind really. anything less then 70% visibility is illegal, some factory
rides come with front windows tinted. the s10 models have the front ones tinted with 70% visibiltiy.
an inspection cant fail you cause of it but, if they take your ride for a spin and get pulled over
then get a fine. the biggest way to get nailed is to have too dark and have dark front windows
the side rear windows they wont really bother, the rear the cops have to be able to see you
in the car.

the PPD could really care less. the one thing that get to them thou is mirror tint. I don’t know a lot of people that were pulled over purely on tint. Its usually something they add on. Summer is too nice to have the windows up anyway. Just roll em down if you are worried.
im stating what is writen on my forms…and the mirror tint will
get pulled over quicker since it reflects more and could cause and
ancident…and has a poor quailty, bad visual and its sucks to put
on. taking it off is worse. the tint i use on rides is sweet. when taking
it off. i can usually take the entire sheet off with no rip or glue residue. if any
only a little.also never had any of my tint jobs fade yet.
i didn’t find mirror to be tough to work with at all when i had it, and i’ve used anti scratch gila on my car for three years now and its still looks new.
im comparing the use of it to actual decent tint. one is a little thicker
then the other. the tint i use on rides is very thin and almost like ceran rap. while the
other tints out there are about the thickness of paper. ive even seen some tint as thick as
2sheets of paper. that shit usuall fades within a year
