getting the sabres games on dish network w/o getting the 250 channel package ?

a friend of mine has dish network, and she has yet to get one sabres game this year. instead she just gets the “this show is blocked” message on whatever station is supposed to be showing the game

apparently she has to upgrade above and beyond the normal center ice package or something ?

can anyone here help fill me in on wtf is going on ?

no she doesnt, unless its on versus.

they are in the sports alternate section, in the 440’s.

yea, thats what i thought

but MSG gives her that “this broadcast has been blocked for xx reason” type message (i havent seen it yet persoanly, so i dont know the exact phrasing)

she called dish network and they told her to upgrade her package (again) if she wants to see the sabres :bloated:

ill find out what station shes tuning into, i know shes trying to watch it on the station that dishnetwork lists it as being shown on … and im pretty sure a friend of hers told her (over the phone) “oh the games on station xxx”

yet she just gets the blocked broadcast message … no game

the dishnetwork operators insists she needs a package upgrade to see ANY of the games … which makes me want to puch said operators in the taint

she might be trying to watch it on the Center Ice channel that shows it, that one isnt available even though it shows the game in the guide. it would be a sports alternate from like 440-450.

She must be an idiot because they are on one of the alternate stations every time they are on MSG.

You need a versus package to get those games.

It’s an MSG alternate broadcast, and she needs to have at least the $39.99 package.

She can get the Top 100+ which will give her a regional sports package which covers the Sabres. That would be the cheapest way to go. She can’t get the Sabres through Center Ice. It needs to be from MSG.
