At least you got one last fuck-you in. I remembered that there was one screw on the license plate that just spun, so I had to pull off the trim from the trunk lid, and take off the latch mechanism to get to the press-fit nut thing that was spinning. Fucker.
Pretty much. I think the pic dramatizes it a bit, but it’s got 600 miles on it. It was originally at a dealer in VA, then went to PA, then got driven 5 hours from Johnstown PA back to Buffalo this afternoon. They washed it when they got back, but meh. The first thing we did is drive around for half an hour, then go home to throw the dogs in so now it’s all hairy too. :gotme:
Oh, and I forgot to mention big  to Brian Smith & Mike Barney Nissan. The guy never once bullshitted me, gave me a good deal, and even made sure they dropped $60 on a full tank of gas. I’m sure a lot of dealers do that but I wasn’t “expecting” it with gas at $3/gallon so it was nice to see them add that extra mile.
I’ll probably replace the tires before snow flies because from what I’ve read those General Grabber AW’s are junk, but whatever. The only way this car makes sense for me is if I keep it for a long long time, so I’ll run them in the summer and get my money’s worth.
Other than that this thing’s awesome. I wonder how long I’ll be able to deny the urge to ditch the stock muffler for a Flowmaster 40 series or something. That VQ burble on close-throttle between shifts sounds so sexy.
I like it just a little surprised at the swirls. A good wax should knock them down a bit.
Nice buy

Yeah I was surprised when I looked at the pic. I’ll look closer in the daylight. In the pics the Jetta’s paint looks good and it was fux0red so it was probably just a really shitty camera man.
