any interest?

In michigan? Way too far for just a track day.

it is 6 hours if you don’t go through canada. through canada it would probably be 5 or less… were you the one complaining about not wanting to go to como park because it was too far for a meet?

and FYI this track is much better than TMP. it is more technical.

Potential for too many cars.

they usually do like 4 track events a year and there is usually 35-30 cars. it gives you about 35-40 min between sessions. for the first 2 sessions. then after that people start turning into pussies and they stop running their cars because they are afrade they will break. just like when we went to TMP we had a ful track for the first 2 sessions then it was open track with no timelimit.

edit last time i was at gingerman I have 7 30min sessions. enough to cook every fluid in my car and set my brakes on fire.

South Haven is on the other side of MI, almost to chicago, 450 miles away. If you can make it there in 5 hours or less through canada you can drive pretty fast I must say.

oh yeah refresh my memory about complaining about como park because I have no idea what your talking about.

It always sounds like a good idea until the day of/before when you realize that you’ve got a 6 hour drive BEFORE you can actually lap.

I’d drive 3 hours for a track day, I think that would be it.

my mistake i was thinking of someone else.

Gingerman is meh from what I’ve heard. And saying “TMP” and “6 hour drive” anywhere near the same sentance should scare anyone off. For a 6 hour drive I’ll stick with VIR or Mid O or Mosport.

yea, id love to drive at mido although my car doesnt have a good history at mid o http://youtube.com/watch?v=fRC3rv1ZHj4

Gingerman is very technical, but it isn’t terribly interesting.

If I wasn’t going to Grattan on May 4, then I would be interested. More of a deal with me taking time off work.

Besides, Grattan > Gingerman, but a lot more dangerous.

holly shit!!! how bad are his injuries?

The price is great, the drive is a bitch. But then again, there are people on this board willing to drive farther and pay more for a riced out auto-X :gotme:
