give me your 2 cents...

I would pick the e36 m3

330i I believe was limited to 2006 and it isn’t out of the question

as to your second point, I don’t drive a car daily. Hell, I skateboard to work everyday. So I only drive a vehicle on the weekend and even that is basically just to and from San Diego. (the equivalent of driving from Buffalo to Rochester for the most part) So its not like im sitting in traffic everyday for an hour.

I think the e36 has some decent exterior styling and the vader seats are always a pleasure to park my keister in for an hour or two. Again the appeal is the s50/52 motors seem to go well into upper 200k without a hiccup, they are half the cost of an E46 to acquire and pretty reasonable to fix.

Selling two cool vehicles and your 3 replacement options are cool, meh, and really fucking lame.

Why don’t you buy a 06-07 z06 :tspry:

I didn’t realize all that about the e90 325i!? I currently am commuting 60 miles one way in an e36 m3… i think I may trade it in on a 325 now

I dont feel like having any more than 20k tied up in a car anymore, esp since as i said i only really drive on the weekends.
Since i moved out here my motorcycle hobby has far surpassed my car hobby.

im just pissed steve bueme sold that fucking white 330 he had.

I would NEVER ship a car from the east coast (specifically one from buffalo) that has seen a winter, to the west coast.

I remember when I had to get an oil pan replaced on my TDI in Arizona, and the car was from buffalo… the mechanic almost lost his shit when saw all the rust. I don’t even think he owned a torch.

What’s an 05 Elise go for nowadays? Reliable Toyota powerplant, great mpg, go kart handling, 6mt etc.

LOL touche. but it was the perfect color combo

-___-

30’s and for that i could find a z06 like LZ mentioned.

If you asked a google or Siri what kind of car you should get based on the info you’ve provided, a Mini would be the result.

Now that I know you’re trying to save money C4 Vette with red interior is the only option

in that case i assure you that Siri is wrong.

the only c4 id go for is the TFI

What about big body? E39 540i’s are looking so attractive to me these days

I absolutely love my '06 330i, and it’s 100% stock. A set of coil overs and some nice wheels is about all I’d want more from it. Plenty of power for spirited commutes. 33mpg @ 75mph. E90 pretty much fits your needs, perhaps an E46 M3 would trump it…especially if this isn’t a daily driver.

I really enjoy driving e90s. And they’re so affordable these days

while i do like these its not really in my sights right now. im not sure of the longevity of that v8 and its not really the best as far as fuel efficiency

somehow ive been completely talked out of the TDi and now have 3 choices of BMW to decide on lol

220k+ on my motor and that’s in a heavy truck. I can get 20mpg+… just not in winter

i saw it was rated at 16 city and 21 highway for the 540 which is only SLIGHTLY better than an m5

WHY DIDNT THEY BRING OVER 6SPD 335d’s :wah:

I can tell you right now, you will NOT be happy with the TDi… they are nice… for commuters… it sounds like you’re going to be using it solely for travel/enjoyment…

If you want to be frugal, go with the 6spd e90 325… buy the 330i wheels (which look tits) and maybe some new shocks/springs and call it a day… enough power to get out of it’s own way… and a comfortable/ yet sport cruiser.

You have your bikes for speed, and your long board for economy… get something in between

Saturn Sky Redline

FWIW, the warranty on the HPFP is 10 years and 8 years for the turbo(s). You could get a nice 135i for around $20k. Not as good looking as the E46 but the performance specs are similar and it’s a little more modern. Probably gets better gas mileage too (25+).
