e60 530i 6 speed?

My dad has one and its great, a tad slower than the e90 due to weight, but ride is better, and more interior space.

Greg J. has a 10 TDI Golf with nearly 120k on it, he has owned it since 34k, so far he has had to do the rear brakes, tires, and the timing belt as per schedule

You were only asking for mid 20’s MPG though. That 16/21 averages to 18.5. The difference between 18.5 and 25 over the 70k miles you want to have the car is $2950 at $3/gallon. This seems like such a dumb amount of money to care about considering the vehicles you’re looking at.

Dove interior… Or is it black?

Looks black, that’s why I posted it. Dove is the worst IMO.

Why tie up a whole bunch of money into a car when you don’t drive it often? I’d say the e90 330i is a good option. Reasonable price and meets many of your requirements.

This looks nice. Guy would probably take 13.5 on it all day too. Hard to beat that.

LOL I’ve owned both this and the aforementioned 335i. I can honestly say the 335i was the best DD I ever owned, and the HPFP never failed, but if it did even once a year it would still be worth it.

Back on topic, if you get the TDI, get the wagon so you can still haul some shit around, with the Bike habbit, I bet that space comes in handy.

Also I would buy as new of a car as possible, dealing with stupid issues because a car is old is not worth the few bucks you save. E46 M3 sounds like the best option, but have you considered just leasing a new car like a 3 series or something? If it doesn’t get used much, it might not be a bad route to go.

X…

ive actually been considering the e90 and e60 now that you guys mentioned it.

here are a few craigslist gems I found lol

couldn’t find any decent e60 530i examples on CL
and all the local e46 m3’s on CL are either clapped out or listed as manual but in fact have SMG :ham:

Wheel color combo on that Z4M is awful. The color on the E36 is awesome though!

Seems like a solid option

@GV1390 that e46 could be a winner

Fuck man that purple e36 in AZ is a beaut.

Thank god the rod barring was done on it.

West Herr did this shit to me over the summer when I looked at an apline white one. Super excited to see it and test drive it…

Sales lady pulls it up and reverses it in a packing space…

Me: oh it’s an “smg” ?

sales lady: I don’t know what that is…

Me: you drive stick?

Sales lady: no

Me: goodbye

Just curious why you don’t want to keep the 996?

He wants out before they really start appreciating. LOL
