Many of you know I closed up my operations this winter and I’ve decided that I have all the tools I need to keep for my own personal use. During the course of operations, I liked to keep at least one “spare” of almost everything on hand as a backup. In some cases I ended up with two spares. My long term goal is to de-commission my shop space and move out of it sooner than later.
With that plan in mind, I decided it’s easier to simply have a “garage sale” type event as opposed to spending my summer photographing, listing, and communicating on everything I have to move out, both on here or on craig’s list. I think the garage sale plan will work better for everyone. I don’t have a particular date set up but I plan to make sure it doesn’t coincide with any nyspeed or other local event. I want it to be either the weekend of the 10th / 11th, 17th / 18th, or 24th / 25th. I’m open to your suggestions as it really doesn’t matter to me and would rather it be a date that works for you. Anything sooner and I don’t think I’d have enough time to prepare. I’m not posting this up anywhere else but here as I really don’t want to turn this into a shit show, but if things don’t go well enough, I may have no choice. At least nyspeeders get first shot at it.
I’m going to have a good selection of tools (more than anything else), some building supplies, building products, and some other miscellaneous items that are going to be available. Not a ton of stuff but a fair amount. Some of the items available will be some of the ones listed on here previously that have not sold, others will be items I never bothered to post. I’m planning on doing a one day event on a Saturday from 9:00-3:00 and I have a fridge there so I may just bring a couple beers down for those that would like to partake. My shop is in south Buffalo (right around the corner from the Larkin Tuesday night food truck event location) and that’s where this will go down.
Let me know your thoughts, I’ll take them into consideration, and decide on a date that seems most popular hopefully by this weekend. Thanks in advance.
I know. Everybody does. The way we have it set up makes it tricky to separate / differentiate the two distinct spaces my friend and I share. Only one point of entry to get to the rear space so whoever has access to the alarm code and a door key has access to both spaces.
