ok so i tired searching in the car chat forum and nothing has come up. so heres the question. im going to be doing all around brakes. so rotors, pads and calipers. and what are some good brakes to get. now i dont want to go crazy on price and get a big brake kit i just want something better than stock at a good price. thanks.
for what car ?, what you running now ?
search…if its for a 240 u should be slapped
painful.
89 240sx coupe. and i searched for like 30 min im not that good
and im running stock
s14 brakes are bigger if i can remember …
If your not going to the track and such what’s wrong with stock? But anyways brembo is a good name.
cut hole in floor an use your feet
or skip cutting… its a 240 just stomp an your feet will go through get good sticky shoes tho
i’m waiting for someone to say… “it”
ford taurus calipers bolt right up, and use 85 vw rabbit pads. biggest pads u can get. u’ll stop like a bicycle.
you should probly flush the brake fluid while ur at it and replace it with fresh 10w30 royal purple full synthetic motor oil. way better than that dot crap. doesnt get hot or breakdown under harsh braking
hope this helps
just paint the stock calipers red… an write brembo on them… They will work 100% better

mmhmm. They worked great on my car. PM me, we make a deal.
wow so many people are assholes. its a simple question just fucking answer it. dont post if its not going to be helpful.
I KNEW IT!
sigh OP, you really do have to educate yourself a TINY bit first before you flame people for flaming you.
ALL aftermarket calipers are BBK’s. Why would anyone make an aftermarket slightly improved alternative to OEM?
You have to turn back to OEM Nissan parts. If you need bigger calipers (you prolly don’t), get 180SX calipers, otherwise REBUILD your current ones, as they’re prolly in garbage shape anyway since it’s an old car. Then get pads, rotors, braided SS lines, and switch to a high performance braking fluid like RBF600.
This is all you’re going to need, even if you track your car.
i have stock brakes _ calipers rotors and pads all in good shape (front only) 50$
Agreed… Just replace the rotors an pads powerslot makes a nice rotor or even brembo blanks can be had for cheap Hawk pads and like ^^ said get some SS lines all round… Itll firm up the pedal… bleed well and once again use what ^^ suggested for fluid… youll notice better feel … less fade an not break your wallet
I have new front and rear calipers, pads, and rear ss flex lines. everything with less than 10,000kms. With the exception of the ss flex lines. BNIB.
250 obo, come take it all.
upgrade to 180sx, or 300zx as mentioned. the best way to go.
