i listened to motorhead - inferno yesterday while i was running and i ran faster and harder than i ever have before. It’s good hard rock/metal. No BS. Plus they’ve been around forever and their old stuff is great too…
early REM is real good IMO (not exactly mainstream)… sounds like your looking for harder shit though

Celldweller and Spineshank are amazing. Pitchshifter is good tooooooo. Oleander, Primer 55, Reveille, Lostprophets… Reveille and LP had some singles out there, but all of their stuff is good.
no not necessarily the hard stuff i dont like bands that yell to where u cant even understand what they are saying but yea celldweller and spineshank are awsome

Minus the Bear FTW. Check out Russian Circles and Pelican. There both instrumental but its some of the best stuff ive heard. If you want really good metal check out anything by Between the Buried and Me, Darkest Hour, ISIS, The Minor Times. Good Hardcore go for Vision of Disorder, Hatebreed (Even though Jasta is a dickhead), Bury Your Dead, or Municipal Waste. And please dont listen to Atreyu or As i Lay Dying…bleh. 99.9% of new metal/hardcore is horrible.

its taken like 3 months for it to grow on me and be able to listen to the whole cd at once
and no atreyu and as i lay dying are nothing alike… so i would tend to not listen to him… although darkest hour and bury your dead are awesome
