Good Place for motor mounts to be made!

motor mounts isnt a ricer thing. now if he woulda wasted that money on a street glo kit, that would be ricer, not motor mounts.

thanks for stickin up for me chad

but i got the mounts just because 1 was getting bad and i wanted something a little stronger, it doesnt even feel like solid mounts when driving , only when starting out and idleing…

  1. being that i have the stock bobble strut on the tranny still,
( which in taking off and making a solid mount in its place…)
i dont feel like spending 40 bucks on a solid bobble when i can make one myself up the garage with the mig.

point is that you buy inserts at a set durometer so that you have the flex and compression of the mounts that you want… if you want to go solid, then do so… by getting a solid mount. That’s my point… I’m sure there’s an amount of flex with those filled mounts, although maybe minimal compared to inserts, it’s not like a set of solids. 200 still seems high for the mounts and inserts… but i don’t drive a neon… so :dunno:

$40 each for 3 new mounts plus another $70 to fill them and $10 to get them to your door. Seems to me like the cost is about the same as inserts. shrugs

on my car i can get mounts for 50 bucks and i can get every bushing on the car PLUS all my mounts for 85 bucks with 10 shipping.

so yeah, 200 seems high for what it is… i don’t know about neon pricing…

3-m window sealent , all i’m saying

i know people that do that lol, it works well for 15 bucks

Actually, those things help alot. I have solid mounts on my Cavy also–makes a nice difference. Not only do they keep the engine from moving, but they minimize power loss. If his stock mounts were anything like mine were, they wear down and break fast. If the engine moves too much, stuff breaks—so it’s a worthy investment.

and it doesnt vibrate too bad either :bigthumb:
