laptop won’t power on. looking for somebody/some place to fix it

what kind of laptop is it? How old is the laptop? Is it still under warranty?
If it won’t get power, it’s either the adapter or the motherboard. I would try another power adapter first and if that doesn’t work start praying it is under warranty. If it is not under warranty, you’re better off buying a new laptop.
Anymore details? When plugging it into the wall, do you get a battery charging light, or power light of any kind?
Good possibility that the jack the power adapter plugs into may just need replaced too. Over time the constant insertion and pressure put on it can break it’s solder joints to the mother board, or round off the male part of the connector on the inside. Without you noticing it, it will no longer charge the batter and you can run the laptop 'till it dies.
