i completely removed my hood and was still over heating after 1 lap.
koyo is cheaper than any comparable application specific radiator. fluidyne, greddy etc. are all more expensive.
there is a reason why Koyo is the most common choice… mishimoto doesnt count.
the only griffin rads that are cheaper are generic ones that require a fair bit of work for jesse to use.
clearly the rad is not the problem here, if jesse drives with a stock SR with SMIC with no hood and a koyo and overheats after one lap then he needs to check the rest of his cooling system…
it’s not the fans, rad or even the ducting at that point.
putting the hood back on will help lol
check thermostat
put shroud in put stock fan in
i’m with Bing… check the rest of the cooling system…could be a pump issue…
from my experience 1 bottle of water wetter is not enough… your coolant/water mixture also affects its performance, i`m not saying that water wetter will solve your problem but when you do solve the issue, it helps alot. i would check the fans or fan to see whether they are flowing enough cfm thats usually over looked.good luck man
i plan on trying this rad out soon and can’t complain with the price
