Alfa Romeo 3.2 GTA engine sounds amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. Jaguars XK6 is also quite nice to hear. The AJ6 (its replacement) also made lovely tones.

Golf R32 for stock, sounds fantastic. Just about any BMW 6 cyl. sounds good. Most Supra’s I’ve heard sound pretty nice.

a modified thunderbird 3.8 supercoupe sounds pretty neat with a cam and exhaust.
my vote goes to the r32 for the best 6cyl sound. that supra sounds beastly though.

The Yamaha V-6 from the late, lamented SHO sounds wicked with open headers. I saw a really cool small dragster once that some nutcase put one in. Sawheet.
