Got a turbo kit!

PM Silver Boost, or Silverstreak (Stephen) and ask him what he did with the Balancer Shaft. When he did his install they ended up stripping a bolt so they couldn’t actually remove the Balancer assembly. I think they just cut the chain. Maybe he could call you or give you his number and you could talk to him about going that route, save you a bit of time. The only thing that not taking the assembly out would do is not give you and extra quart and a bit of oil you could add to your car, and maybe he could even let you in on that PowerUp I was telling you about.

Here’s some pics from yesterday. Was too busy last night to post em.

Good ol engine bay. Still needs the rad and some hosing connected as you can see.

Here’s a couple pictures of our intercooler piping solution. If you can make it out… Was kinda tight down there trying to get pics.

Got it all started. took it for a quick test go just to check for any issues. Didn’t go above 3000rpm, but still sounded amazing and you could definately feel the boost starting to kick in. Had no hood went down Calgary Trail alil… This Mustang wanted to race… If only it was dyno tuned haha… When I turned onto 23rd he followed me, then flew over into the left lane and stomped it past me as I’m just piddling along.

Made a quick 10 sec video of it in the garage. Can’t really hear it as well as it actually sounded.

Fyi. the steam is just some water/antifreeze I slopped while filling the rad :p’

Heh, That looks amazing! Kinda give me hope for my install! Just get her tuned and shows us all how good Turbo’d Spec V are!

My chain is only cut but the assembly is still in there as you said.

Stripped two of those freaking long block bolts, and that was the end of that effort.

I’ve been running with the assembly in there now for over 50k boosted kms and have never had a hitch. I’d always recommend using the JWT kit for the extra oil capacity, but mine just proves that it isn’t absolutely necessary… but I check my oil pretty regularly and change it every 3000 kms, so it doens’t really get a chance to get low on me.

Congrats on the Tune Brody, those are some crazy ass numbers man.

haha. yea man… Thanks again for everything eh.

can i come for a ride come summer? if its fast enough, then i might just keep the spec and turbo it.

Sure man. I always like showing off :stuck_out_tongue:

Not as bad as me… I was whoring my car out at track events last year.

I’m pretty sure he won’t be tossin his keys at anyone who wants to take her for a test drive :E

i dont need to drive it, just see what a turbo spec can do. and if its worth the mula. or just pay out for my STI or M3 in a few yrs.

haha yea… no test drivers. I’ll take people for spins.

Ok… :cry When Nick took me out last year running untuned at 4 psi it still was a beast. T

3 psi

50k car vs. 90k car.

Congrats on the turbo, must be fun to drive. FI on a FWD car would kill me up here, they don’t plow the roads in town so I wouldn’t be going anywhere.
