wtf do you drive? GTA4 drove horrible, the vehicles all felt like boats, there was nothing realistic about it.
I’m about 11% into the missions and holy shit, the map is just insane. I think I have uncovered half of it so far. I haven’t really dedicated too much time to roaming around to clear it. Also, downloaded the iFruit app on my phone. It’s a cool concept, but it seems like the app is pretty lame.
+1. How anyone could say the cars handled well in GTA4 is just nuts.
I’m around 8% in and impressed with the driving physics improvements, the level of detail, the radio banter and the over the top characters. I think tonight I’m going to work on stealing a plane and just go explore the map some.
I thought the same thing when I first started playing GTA 5, but then you just get used to it.
This game is pretty amazing. I forgot how much there is to do after Vice City where you just got missions. The story so far is pretty awesome as well
I haven’t done many missions and don’t want to post any spoilers but the ones I’ve done so far have been interesting. Looks like they’ve gotten away from “Drive here, kill this guy, repeat”.
So installed around 7:30 started playing around 8-8:30 till about Midnight. lol FUUUUU
I only did 3 missions or so after the initial start up missions they force you to do.
I spent the majority of my time driving around all over the city and other areas to uncover the map, got onto the tarmac and stole a Learjet, flew all over and uncovered more. Still missing half the map. lol IT IS FUCKING MASSIVE!! Where is a parachute? I took the one tram to the top to the 2 dirt bikes.
Was not a fan of the glitch where I took my bike up the tram to the top. (mountain bike) I wanted to try and trail ride the way down, I got off the bike, looked throw the scope and found my bike was then gone. WTF, I just got off it 1 minute ago.
I think you have to buy the parachute @ Ammunation. It wasn’t unlocked for me just yet and I am about 12% in.
I was told you can find one at the top of the mountain, just don’t know which.
Ask and you shall receive!
Not only is there a spawn parachute cheat but you can find it pretty easily within the game anyway. Head to Mount Chiliad in the north-western area of the map. You find the parachute on the middle grey “wire” platform, right next to the cable car at the top of the mountain.
Also, this map is the easter egg map, but I think it’s unverified.
As much as I want to look at this right now… idk, I just want to stay away from any sort of cheat info I can get. I know I asked about the parachute… but I know its on a mountain because someone ruined that one for me. haha I’ve done pretty good not looking on line at maps though.
Yeah I’ve always saved cheats till after I beat the game.
Yeah, I don’t get into the cheats either, I was just stating what the map was if anyone was wondering. There is a cheat for the parachute, but you don’t need to use it if you get it from the mountain.
Stole the business jet on lunch today and got most of the map showing. Also stumbled across the military base. First time I must have just clipped their airspace because I went from 0 stars to 4 and got a quick warning about violating their airspace. I turned away quick and was able to fly away and lose the stars. Later on after exploring I wanted to see if there were any military jets at the base since I loved the Hydra in San Andreas. Did not end well. Came in low and fast, buzzed a hanger and as I tried to fly down the runway to look for the jet got shot down by a missile.
This happened to me last night. Installed at 5:30, playing around 6:30 and noticed at 3:30am I was still playing it. Every mission unlocks a bit more of the story so it was kinda addicting to keep going with.
I thought the insert in the game told you how to unlock and get the parachute to blimp. I haven’t tried the sky diving yet tho.
Either way, the detail in this game is amazing. How much it mimicks life of Americans and taking the time to look around the city I am blown away and haven’t even done much exploring.
Same
Yeah, I’ve never understood the people who use cheat codes.
“Let me spend $60 on this game for my entertainment, then make it incredibly easy because I have unlimited money, guns and I’m invincible”. The fun is beating the missions with the challenges the developers intended.
Afterwards its cool when you are just looking for easter eggs or whatever. My dad used to tease me as a kid when I used my gameshark for PS1 and bought the tips and tricks magazines. He would always say why don’t they just make a game where you put it in the system and it just says you win.
Usually by the time I beat a game I don’t need cheat codes because I have so much money, weapons etc. By the time I beat Skyrim I had a bow and a mace that would take down pretty much anything in one shot and so much money and stuff I was buying houses just to store it all.
I’ll be starting up around 630 today and planning to get a lot of missions accomplished. Must say though, police are ridiculous in this one. Seems they are everywhere when things go down and doesn’t take long for them to start shooting at you.
