while the PS3’s CPU (SPU?) is more powerful than the 360’s, developers don’t like it as it’s more of a pain in the ass to code for apparently. 99% of games are developed on the 360, then ported over to the PS3…
all in all, it’s the GPU that does all the pretty work

The PS3 does have some promising abilities from a programming standpoint. But we are probably still a year off from seeing what it can fully do. Sure theory is great and all. But I prefer reality that is available today.
ugg I’m a Playstation guy at heart. I just cant decide on what system to go with, stupid GTA for forcing me to buy one.
Even if I were a sony fanboy, I’d still have to go with the 360 as my first system.
There’s just too many opportunities for dissapointment with the ps3 at this point in time.
I’m going to rent gta4 for the ps3 just to see if my launch console freezes like the others, and to compare it on the 2 systems.

but what folks fail to realise, u cant tell the difference from 720p and 1080p unless u got a 60 inch TV. And even thats questionable.
whats really funny is that GTA on the ps3 doesnt even run at 720p

I can tell the difference between fuggin 1080p and 1081p. Kidding, but that’s your opinion and also related to your tv quality, viewing distance, eyssight, ect.
Yeah it runs at 620p or some shit like that. Typical ps3 game getting shitted on.
Personally though I think sony made a mistake going to blu ray for it’s games. Yeah it can hold more data, but more gb’s does not make a good game, it’s all in the compression. Now are they planning on having 25gb games, imagine the loading…
edit: ahh and for early 360 buyers like me, there is no 1080p. It was something that was promised time and time again. Their solution was to shit on all early adopters and make a completely new console with hdmi. So until my console breaks and I have to buy a new one, there is no 1080p on my 360. Then when I do get a new one, combine what the 2 360’s cost me, and the ps3 is cheaper at attaining 1080p. :). Now if sony could just fix all the other problems their console has…
