My car idles at about 700rpm normally, I have had the car a week and has been running great. I installed the greddy front strut bar today and now my car is idling constantly at 1500rpm, won’t drop at all. The strut bar just clears the valve cover, but is resting on the fuel rail cover right beside the valve cover. I don’t know if this has something to do with it, or if this is just a coincidence of the car just starting to run poorly. Any help is apprciated.
take a look at the cruise control cable make sure the bracket is no mis aligned that will cause the throttle to open part way , and if there is no bracket and you have a cruis control cable make sure it is not pushed towards the firewall, trust me just play with the cruise contol cable , its the problem, unless of course you smell fuel in which case u fucked up really bad and caused an intake leak around/into the manifold , but check option 1 first
Just got home and checked my cables, it was just a simple bend in my throttle cable, tucked under the bar a little. Minor detail, easy fix. Idling normal now again @700rpm
