fixed the stalling and the idle but noticed a few more problems now. biggest one is i cannot drive at a constant speed. the car is either accelerating or decelerating. i hold the pedal smooth but there is no way to hold it at a constant speed. it will decelerate until i push the pedal far enough then jolt forward and begin accelerating again. the next is after driving for an extended period of time, say 30 minutes, my vaccum at idle drops from 19 to 15 and i loose alot of power out of boost. lastly everytime i drive it whether its 5 minutes or 30 when i get out of the car there is a strong burning smell. i really appreciate any help thanks guys.
You have a SOHC Throttle Cable it’s shorter than the SR and DOHC KA’s, How did you rout it?

I know it’s not a really easy suggestion but perhaps you can consider
getting a shop or something to make you a bracket. I dunno about
stretching it across the valve cover is such a great idea.
And where exactly is this burning from? See smoke?
the only way the sohc cable works is if you run it over the valve cover otherwise it won’t reach.
