Greetings and salutations

I just found this site today. Nissan has always been my favorite car company. My favorite Nissan is the old Z car and my second favorite is the crazy looking Pulsar NX. I am lucky enough to own both (a 78 280Z and an 85 NX). My only real complaint about the Pulsar is Nissan’s choice to use the E16s engine. These N12 coupes should have all come with the E15et. I wish I had the money to swap it and could find someone near me who knew how to do it. That’s my eventual goal with that car. The Z is virtually finished as far as restoration goes. Just have to do some brake work and tighten the steering.

NICE!

Welcome to the boards. May I suggest an RB26 swap into that Pulsar? :E

Kris never say that again.

Are those pulsars rear wheel drive or front? They look kind of like those cheap man porsche 2 seaters from the 80’s.

I don’t know about a RB26 but I bet an SR or a CA would fit nicely under that stock hood, be a cool sleaper.

Welcome to the NECC. Let’s see some pics of that Z! :E

Welcome to the NECC man! Pimp cars.

Pulsars are front wheel drive. I know it’s possible to get a CA engine in a first generation Pulsar (people have done it) but it takes a lot of work and plus I would assume it would make the car too front heavy and have steering issues. I don’t know about an SR20DE. I don’t know if there’s enough room for that. The best option for this generation of Pulsars is the E15ET. I have no idea how to do it though and it’s highly unlikely anyone near me would know how either. Nobody around here even knows what a Pulsar is which is odd considering how insanely popular they were in their time. People keep thinking it’s either a Pontiac Fiero or a Toyota MR2. For more Z pictures check my cardomain page:

I started it for the Pulsar but added the Z stuff later.

Very nice! Welcome.
