GSXR 1100

Long shot but anyone on this board know anyone looking to sell either an 89’ or 90’ GSXR1100?

sorry nope…
what do you want that for?

To push the legal motor vehicle limits. I’ve owned 3 of them in the past and I’m looking to get another one. In my opinion, although old, they are one of the best sport bikes you can buy. Shit loads of torque and look mean as hell.
Here’s a pic of my old one

Here’s another one I owned

well… i know we all have our favorites, so i’m not arguing with your choice, but in comparison to today’s bikes, power and torque are not something it has an advantage in

Power in 1989 was 108.41@9000rpm, with torque of 65.42@8500. Wet weight was 531.5lb’s.

and i dont know if that is crank or whp, but its nowhere near what the new bikes are… plus its rediculously heavy

but… anywho… not here to argue… if you like it, you like it… good luck finding one!!!

edit: also, since it’s model name is not CBR(insertenginesize)RR, that means its trash :stick:

The bike in the first pic dyno’ed at 138 rear wheel hp and the bike in the second pic i had up 185 mph. I know what you are saying, I’ve also owned an R1 but for the street, the 1100 is the best in my opinion. After 90, the 1100’s started getting heavier and the displacement went down a bit. Too many people get caught up spec’s, weight, hp when in reality that’s not important on the steet. A bit more comfort and big torque is where it’s at. Don’t get me wrong, the R1 was like a Kennywood ride for 5 hours straight…

my brother has ione sitting in the garage if you havent bought one yet

how much is he looking to get for it???

What’s the year and milage? How much is he asking?
