The car did not go to New Era to be re-tuned. Andy (original owner/tuner) looked over the logs and tune and changed a few things. The biggest issue was a local audio shop ripped out the wires from the back of the boost controller when putting a new deck in the car…
Ted had plans of taking it back to a dyno before selling it to get some final numbers but with being away at college now he just doesn’t have the time or money.
Like I said the car is perfectly fine as far as the tune goes it’s just conservative and whoever the new owner is can decide just how hard they want to push the car…
Ted was satisfied and happy with running 20-21psi… sure there is more power in the car but he simply didn’t care to push it harder… however if the new owner wants to push it there is a 29psi race gas tune he can throw in with the car and then you can go have your fun

^This, If that’s the deciding factor in selling it then I would be more than happy to go get a professional tune put on it, but if I don’t get any interest I may just part it out. That’s why I haven’t really ventured down that road just yet. I was satisfied with it as it was since I could barely put the power down as it is.
The only thing that I would recommend other than a professional tune would be to change out the Q45 TB. Its does not have any sort of idle control so it can fluctuate depending on the day. It will run like stock sometimes and others it will want to idle extremely low. I just dealt with it, but it can get somewhat annoying.
False! That is what FWD, bald tires, and a driver that stays WOT instead of feathering it will do for ya :biglaugh:
2G’s are easy to swap to AWD. If that’s holding someone back, I can find you everything you need to swap to AWD in like a week.

Car feels much better during spool up and you can feel a difference up top as well. Mike did a fantastic job. I may still take it back to see what it can do at 29psi if I get some time!
Absolutely unbelievably clean car. I’m sure many, many hours went into taking that car to the level its at today, and it shows.

I’d part it out. Youd make a ton more $$ than selling it as a whole.
I had offers on my old dsm of ~$7000 for a mitsu that I put over 25k into.
Parted it out and got nearly 17k. It might be more work, but well worth it in the end!
